Methods for the direct consideration of the distribution functions of material and process parameters in the statistical modeling and fem simulation of micro forming processes

In cold forming of micro components, local variations of the anisotropic mechanical properties, particularly in textured metals, can dominate the behavior up to failure. Therefore, a method was developed to facilitate an efficient consideration of the distribution of material data in an FEM simulation, by combining material modeling with numerical and statistical methods.
